Peru Flag Chileno El Toro

*Chileno Lazaro x Chilena Spirolina

Ken went to Chile in the fall of 2001 looking for a new Chilean herdsire to compliment his program. El Toro was just a couple of months old when Ken saw him. He knew then that El Toro  had the conformation and presence that would make him an RDRL future herdsire. As we were so impressed with El Toro, we also purchased his dam, Chilena Spirolina. During El Toro's first ALSA show season, he was many times Grand or Reserve Grand Champion Heavy Wool Male. He easily attained his ALSA Halter Recognition of Merit the first year that he was shown and was 5th at the 2002 ALSA Grand Nationals. In 2003, El Toro earned his ALSA Halter Champion title. He was shown at the 2003 ALSA Grand Nationals and took 1st place in 2 Year Old Heavy Wool Males and National ALSA Reserve Grand Champion Heavy Wool Male. Since returning from the 2003 Nationals, his first cria were born.  In 2006, at ALSA Grand Nationals El Toro was grand champion Get of Sire.

His sire sold at the 2003 Feathers and Friends dispersal sale for $55,000 and his dam sold for $28,000.  Rock was already qualified for the 2003 ALSA Regionals and ALSA Grand Nationals. Ken showed Rock at the 2003 ALSA Western Regionals, where he won the 2-Year Old Heavy Wool Male Class and went on to win the 2003 ALSA Western Regional Grand Champion Heavy Wool Male. This last win, helped Rock earn his ALSA Halter Champion Title.  At the 2003 ALSA Grand Nationals, he took 2nd in his class to our other male, Chileno El Toro. In April of 2003, Rock took 3rd in his class at the Spring Celebrity.
